Sophie Kaady has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2008, they worked as an Engagement Manager at EY, where they managed the audit execution of two IPOs, Virgin America Inc. and Sunrun Inc., resulting in over $550 million in raised proceeds. Sophie received the Exceptional Client Service Award for their awareness and responsiveness to client needs.

In 2017, Sophie joined the International Business Development Program at Haas School of Business as a Consultant. Here, they developed the US GTM strategy for Suritex, a Lima-based alpaca fiber and accessories producer. Sophie'sstrategy was based on in-depth secondary research, primary consumer research and analysis, and thorough analysis of US textile and apparel trends.

The same year, they also worked at Jackson Family Wines as a Brand Marketing professional. Sophie supported the launch of a La Crema brand line extension into the domestic sparkling wine market, providing valuable consumer insights and recommending the successful line extension. Additionally, Sophie repositioned a slow-growth brand within a larger brand portfolio after conducting an in-depth strategic analysis.

In 2018, Sophie took on two roles as an Innovation Consultant at Haas@Work - UC Berkeley's Innovation Agency and THNK School of Creative Leadership.

More recently, they worked at DesignStudio from 2018 to 2020 as a Brand Strategy Director, and currently, Sophie is holding the same position at Born & Bred since 2021.

Sophie Kaady has an extensive education history. Sophie began their academic journey at the University of Oregon, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from 2004 to 2008. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the University of Virginia, graduating with a Master of Science degree in Accounting from 2008 to 2009.

After gaining a solid foundation in accounting, Sophie pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Brand Strategy / Innovation at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Sophie completed their MBA from 2016 to 2018, further enhancing their skills and knowledge in the business field.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sophie has also obtained two Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certifications. Sophie acquired their first CPA certification from the Oregon Board of Accountancy in June 2013, and their second CPA certification from the California Board of Accountancy in June 2014.
