Frederik Schaal

Frederik Schaal currently serves as the CTO of Quantum Sensors at Bosch since January 2022. Prior to this role, Frederik Schaal held various positions at TRUMPF from January 2016 to December 2021, including Leiter F&E Sensorik, Elektronik und Optik Additive Manufacturing and Produktmanager Monitoring Additive Manufacturing, among others. Previously, Frederik Schaal worked at the Institut für Technische Optik, Universität Stuttgart from March 2009 to December 2015 as Gruppenleiter Interferometrie und Diffraktive Optik and Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter. Early experience included an internship at Oxford Instruments in 2008 focused on Plasma Beschichtungstechnik. Frederik Schaal holds a Dr.-Ing. from the University of Stuttgart and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Maschinenbau from the same institution, earned from 2004 to 2009.
