Jonathan Mayes

Jonathan Mayes is an experienced attorney specializing in labor and employment matters at Bose McKinney & Evans LLP since July 2011. Mayes previously served as a Commissioner at the Indiana State Employees' Appeals Commission from September 2012 to July 2020 and held the position of Deputy Director for the City of Indianapolis' Department of Public Safety from January 2008 to June 2011. In this role, Mayes advised a large organization on various legal issues, including union grievances, arbitration, and compliance with labor laws. Additionally, Mayes acted as Chief Litigation Counsel, litigating cases in federal and state courts as well as before the EEOC and ICRC. Prior experience includes serving as Corporation Counsel for the City of Kokomo and as an Associate at Hume Smith Geddes Green & Simmons LLP. Mayes holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Indiana University Robert H.
