David Tobenkin

David Tobenkin is an accomplished Energy Industry Analyst with extensive experience at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission since November 2002, contributing to the Office of Energy Policy and Innovation in policy development for wholesale and interstate energy markets. Previously served as an Energy Industry Analyst and Subject Matter Expert in the Office of Energy Market Regulation, focusing on economic regulation and tariff matters in the electric and natural gas sectors. Earlier in his career, as an Attorney-Advisor in the Office of Enforcement, Mr. Tobenkin ensured consumer protection through market oversight and compliance enforcement. Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Tobenkin practiced law at Cole, Raywid & Braverman, LLP, where David represented various communications industry clients in regulatory and litigation matters. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Certificate in Federal Project Management from Duke University.
