Trey Ellis

Trey Ellis currently serves as an Assistant Attorney General and Solicitor General Fellow at the NC Department of Justice, a position held since August 2024. Previously, Trey held the role of Law Clerk to the Hon. Loretta Biggs at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina from August 2023 to August 2024 and worked as an Associate at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP from January to August 2023. Prior experiences include a law clerk position at the Supreme Court of North Carolina and various leadership roles at the University of North Carolina School of Law, including Public Relations Co-Chair for the Black Law Student Association and 2L Class President. Educational credentials include a JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law, an MMark from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management, and a BA in Political Science and Government from Vanderbilt University.
