Ahmad Hashem

Dr. Ahmad Hashem is a seasoned healthcare executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of progressive experience. He currently leads Boston Biopharma’s worldwide activities out of the US office. He previously worked as Global Manager for Microsoft's Healthcare and Life Sciences group in Redmond, Washington, where he was leading Microsoft's worldwide strategy in this sector, working closely with companies such as Merck, Baxter, and GSK, and negotiating joint ventures such as one with Pfizer. His previous work with the World Health Organization, the United Nations Development Program, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation projects, and USAID funded projects touched more than 60 countries in various capacities, mostly in health system strengthening. Dr. Hashem holds an MD degree from the University of Damascus and a PhD degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
