Evan Gold is in his sixth season with the Bruins organization. He assumed the position of assistant general manager at the start of the 2019-20 season after serving as the club's director of legal affairs for hockey operations for the previous four seasons.
Gold is responsible for advising and assisting General Manager Don Sweeney with the various facets of hockey operations, including salary cap management, player contract research and negotiations, player salary arbitration, collective bargaining agreement administration and compliance, roster planning, and player evaluations at the professional and amateur levels.
Gold joined the Bruins after spending eight seasons with the Washington Capitals as a hockey operations assistant. While in the Washington front office, his responsibilities included player contract research, salary cap analyses, player salary arbitration preparation, and providing support for both the professional and amateur scouting staffs.
Gold graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts degree before earning his law and MBA degrees at the University of Toronto.
Gold and his wife, Amy, have two daughters, Isla and Ruby, and a son, Asher.
