Matthew Murphy

Matthew Murphy is a staff accountant at the Boston Celtics. Prior to their current position, Murphy worked as a financial operations associate at AGC Partners from June 2021 to February 2022. Matthew also interned at Alegeus from May 2020 to August 2020, where they developed and maintained key reports relating to operational efficiency and assisted in the monthly and quarterly close analysis and reporting. In addition, Murphy interned at The Accountancy Cloud from October 2019 to December 2019, where they established a proficiency for the online accounting software Xero (certified October 2019), assisted team members with day-to-day tasks such as maintaining correspondence with clients, reviewing financial information on Xero, and bookkeeping daily invoices, receipts, and credit statements, and assisted in the completion and filing of tax returns for numerous clients.

Matthew Murphy completed a study abroad program in London through Boston University. Matthew then interned in the finance department of a business in London. After returning to the United States, they attended Bishop Feehan High School. Matthew went on to study business at Providence College, specializing in finance. Matthew has also received certification from Xero, Bloomberg LP, and MyITLab in various Microsoft Office programs.
