Kevin Powers

Kevin Powers serves as the Faculty Director and Lecturer-in-Law for the Master of Legal Studies in Cybersecurity, Risk & Governance at Boston College Law School since October 2024. Powers is the Founder and Director of the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Policy & Governance program at Boston College, where roles also include Assistant Professor of the Practice in both the Business Law & Society Department at the Carroll School of Management and Boston College Law School. In addition to serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees and various roles at Boston College High School, Powers lectures on cybersecurity governance for board of directors at MIT Sloan Executive Education and holds a research affiliate position at MIT Sloan School of Management. Advisory board memberships include roles at HYCU, Inc., Acium Browser Security, and CyberSaint Security, with consulting experience as an expert witness in cybersecurity and data privacy. Powers' educational background includes a BA in History/Business from Salem State University and a JD from Suffolk University Law School.
