Devin Billings has extensive experience in electrical engineering and robotics, currently serving as Associate Director of Electrical Engineering Research at Boston Dynamics since August 2009. Key achievements include leading the development of a novel electrical architecture and recruiting a top-notch robotics electrical team for the humanoids group, culminating in the implementation of a new electrical system for the electric-actuated Atlas robot. Previous roles at Boston Dynamics include Lead Hardware Engineer for Atlas, Lead Developer for application payloads on Spot Mini, and various engineering leadership positions for several robotics platforms such as Spot, Handle, LS3, and Petman. Prior to joining Boston Dynamics, Devin Billings worked at Cambridge Technology Inc., Vicor Corp., DAQTron, Inc., and NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, gathering a wealth of knowledge in electrical systems and engineering practices.
