David Tompkins

David Tompkins is currently the COO at Boston Lyric Opera. Prior to this, they were self-employed for a period of time. Before that, they worked as the Modesto Symphony Orchestra. David has also worked with the Orlando Ballet and Ballet Arizona. Tompkins has been involved in the ballet world for many years, starting with the Boston Ballet. David also has experience working with the Sundance Film Festival.

David Tompkins has a MA in Acting/Directing from Kansas State University and a BS in Technical Theatre/Management from Kansas State University.

They work with John Conklin - Artistic Advisor, Brett Hodgdon - Chorus Master, and Rebecca Kirk - Director of Education Programs. David Tompkins reports to Bradley Vernatter, Acting Stanford Calderwood General & Artistic Director.
