David Greer, MD, MA, is the Richard B. Slifka Chief of Neurology at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Greer is also a professor of Neurology and the chair of the Department of Neurology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. He is an expert in spinal disorders, vascular neurology, and neurocritical care, and his research interests include predicting recovery from coma after cardiac arrest, brain death, and multiple stroke-related topics, including acute stroke treatment, temperature modulation and stroke prevention. Dr. Greer has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts, reviews, chapters, guidelines and books and serves as a reviewer for several of the most prestigious scientific journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, Brain, Neurology, and Stroke.
