Operations Engineer at Boston Metal

Arthur Resende has been working in the engineering field since 2008. From 2008 to 2010 they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at AMG Superalloys UK Limited. In 2010 they moved to the Metallographic Department of the same company, where they worked as a Laboratory Assistant until 2015. That year they began working as a Research Assistant at the University of Sheffield, performing experiments for measuring nano-hardness of constituents phases of silicides and solid solution on selected alloys of Nb-Si based alloy. From 2016 to 2019 they worked at Metalur Brasil as an Engenheiro Coordenador de Processos, Engenheiro de Processos, and Engineering Trainee, where they were responsible for process improvement in secondary aluminum casting, mapping all stages of the production process, and improving metal recovery in the aluminum scrap fusion process. In 2019 they joined Boston Metal as an Operations Engineer.

Arthur Resende has an extensive educational background. Arthur completed a Master's Degree in Advanced Metallurgy from the University of Sheffield in 2015, having previously obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the same institution between 2011 and 2014. Prior to that, they attended King Ecgbert School from 2009 to 2011, where they studied Mathematics (A Level), Chemistry (A Level) and Physics (A Level). In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Controle Estatístico de Processo - CEP from Interaction Plexus in 2019, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from Fundação Vanzolini in 2019, Programa 5S from Interaction Plexus in 2019, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis - FMEA from Interaction Plexus in 2019, and Metodo de Análise e Solução de Problemas - MASP 8D from Interaction Plexus in 2019.
