Model-Based Controls Engineer at Boston Metal

Bryan Keating has an extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Bryan began their career in 2010 as a Research Assistant and Student at the Cornell Fracture Group. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Zehnder Research Group. In 2014, they joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they focused on application of extremum seeking control algorithms to energy consumption minimization in vapor compression air conditioning and refrigeration systems. In 2015, they worked as an Engineering Consultant at CU Aerospace. In 2016, they joined the Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC) as a Researcher in Training. In 2017, they became a Systems Development Engineer at Moog Inc. where they developed embedded flight control software requirements. In 2018, they worked as a Control Engineer at Thermo King, where they developed a total cost of ownership optimization strategy. Bryan also worked as a Control Systems Engineer at DemandQ, where they achieved up to a 20% reduction of peak power on new customer pilots. Finally, in 2021, they joined Embr Labs as a Thermal Controls Engineer, where they used Simulink and Embedded Coder to develop, build, and test auto-generated embedded code.

Bryan Keating received their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 2014, and their Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2017.
