Manisha Dahal

R&D Materials Engineer II at Boston Metal

Manisha Dahal has a wealth of work experience, beginning with an Internship at Kathmandu University (KU) in 2014. Manisha then moved on to a Research Assistant role at Luleå University of Technology in 2015, where they analyzed deformation and fracture of bridge components and applied knowledge of metallurgy and microscopy. In 2017, they held two positions simultaneously, as an Intern at Fraunhofer USA, where they gained hands-on experience and researched laser material processing, and as a Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IWS, where they researched gradient material structure and laser material processing. In 2018, they were a Research Assistant at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), where they researched cassiterite mineral samples and conducted contact angle measurement of its surface. Finally, in 2019, they were a Research Associate at Technische Universität Dresden, where they researched new machining tools with multi-material features of cemented carbides and cermet, demonstrated flexibility in handling multiple projects, and utilized a range of material characterization techniques. Currently, Manisha Dahal is an R&D Materials Engineer II at Boston Metal.

Manisha Dahal holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kathmandu University (KU) which they obtained between 2010 and 2014. Manisha then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from Universität des Saarlandes between 2016 and 2018, and a Master's degree in Advanced Material Science and Engineering (AMASE) from Luleå University of Technology between 2015 and 2018.
