Patrick Melvin

Patrick Melvin has been working in the engineering field since 2005. Patrick's first experience was a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2005. In 2006, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at the same company. In 2008, they were a Project Engineering Intern at Lonza. From 2012 to 2021, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at 2KR Systems, where they were responsible for taking products from concept through production. During this time, they wore many different hats and their main roles revolved around CAD design, fabricating and testing prototypes and optimizing designs for manufacturing and assembly. Before their engineering career, Patrick Melvin was a Freelance Videographer from 2005 to 2012. Patrick filmed, edited and created videos for a variety of projects, including a skiing web series, marketing videos and weddings. In 2021, they started working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Boston Metal.

Patrick Melvin graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
