Michael Shao, MD, RPVI, serves as the Section Chief of Vascular Surgery at Swedish Hospital since September 2012, overseeing a comprehensive vascular surgery practice that includes carotid disease and aneurysm repair. Additional roles include Physician Advisor for Clinical Documentation Integrity and participation in various committees focused on surgical quality and clinical informatics. Michael has been an active speaker and consultant for Medtronic and Boston Scientific, providing educational presentations and overseeing clinical trials related to venous diseases. With a medical-legal consulting practice at MK Shao LLC, Michael also conducts peer reviews for the Department of Veterans Affairs and has held various consulting roles with other organizations.
