Leslie Wu Foley

Leslie Wu Foley is the Director of Education and Community Engagement at the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Leslie has dedicated their career to community engagement and partnerships, working to expand the relevance of art in public life.

Before their current position, Foley was the Director of the Center for Art and Community Partnerships at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. In this role, they cultivated relationships with the community, engaged students and faculty in community-based learning opportunities, and shifted the school's focus to partnering with entire neighborhoods.

Foley's work has been recognized with several awards, including the Carnegie Classification for Engaged Institutions and The President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

Leslie Wu Foley has a Bachelor of Arts in Art Theirtory from Princeton University and was a Lead Boston participant in 2009 at the Boston Center for Community and Justice.

They are on a team with Amy Aldrich - Director of Patron Experience, Jennifer Roosa Williams - Director of Development Research and Information Systems and Analytics, and Ellen Highstein - Tanglewood Music Center Director. Their manager is Gail Samuel, President and Chief Executive Officer.
