Felix Frenkel has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and software development. Felix started their career in 2000 as a Research Fellow at the Research Center of Biotechnology RAS. In 2008, they joined Thomson Reuters as a Software Developer, where they worked for a subsidiary company called GeneGo. Felix stayed with Thomson Reuters until 2014. In 2015, Felix joined BostonGene as a Bioinformatics Scientist and later became a Senior Scientific Manager, specializing in bioinformatics for R&D.
Felix Frenkel pursued their education in the field of Bioinformatics. From 1994 to 2000, they attended the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute), earning a Master's degree. Continuing their studies, Felix enrolled in the Russian Academy of Sciences from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree, still specializing in Bioinformatics.
