Tara Gillespie

Tara Gillespie is a multifaceted professional in journalism and mass communication, currently serving as a Front Desk Clerk at the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication since August 2024. As a Television News Reporter for The Daily Iowan, Tara produces and edits news packages while covering events in Iowa City. In a leadership role as Vice President of Communications for the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation, Tara promotes the chapter through various social media platforms. Additionally, Tara has experience as an Honor Caddie at Ridgemoor Country Club, a Childcare Provider in a private household, and as a creator and host of a self-made podcast focused on the NFL. Prior experience includes being a Color Commentator with NDCP Media Crew, providing insight during high school sports broadcasts. Tara Gillespie is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Journalism, and Mass Communication at the University of Iowa, expected to graduate in 2027.
