Melinda Severson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Melinda started their career as a Litigation Attorney at Schoenberg, Fisher, Newman & Rosenberg, Ltd. where they researched and drafted legal memoranda and represented clients in pretrial hearings. Melinda then joined GE Insurance Solutions as a Lawyer Claims Specialist, managing numerous professional liability claims. Melinda also served as the Director of Client Services at Visibillity, Inc., where they developed implementation processes and managed relationships with key stakeholders for the company's largest account. Melinda later worked as a Claims Specialist at GE Insurance Solutions, handling various high exposure claims. Melinda co-owned Insurance Trust Monitor (ITM), an independent trust administration service provider, before moving on to Bottomline Technologies. At Bottomline Technologies, Melinda had numerous roles including Manager of the Professional Services Team, Senior Client Advisor, and Director of Client Services. Their responsibilities included managing customer relationships, providing expertise on legal spend management, and leading a team of Client Advisors. Throughout their career, Melinda has demonstrated proficiency in client management, legal analysis, and leadership.

Melinda Severson received their J.D. degree in Law from the University of Iowa College of Law, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their B.A. degree in Political Science and History at Iowa State University in 1992. In addition to their formal education, Melinda has obtained certifications in the Women's Leadership Program from Yale School of Management Executive Education and as a Customer Success Manager Certified Professional from Gainsight in the year 2022.
