John Fleagle

Board Member at Boulder Community Health

John Fleagle is a board-certified medical oncologist who started his professional career in Boulder in 1983 following his medical training. He earned his medical degree with honors at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He then pursued an internal medicine residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago followed by a medical oncology fellowship completed in 1983 at the University of Colorado.

Over the years at BCH, he served in multiple volunteer roles including, the foundation, the department of medicine, the executive committee, and the planning committee. In 2019 he received the Lifetime Service Award from the medical staff.

During his leadership at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Boulder County expanded to 10 medical oncologists and 3 radiation oncologists serving patients throughout the region.

Dr. Fleagle was elected as the managing partner of Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, a group of 55 oncologists throughout Colorado, from 2010 until his retirement 2019. He served, as well on many national committees at US Oncology. Among his many professional interests are improving the delivery of healthcare and improving its value to patients.
