Elena Hershey

Elena Hershey is a National Board Certified Educator at Boulder Valley School District since August 2002, specializing in differentiated instructional practices for over 140 diverse students, and consistently achieving a "Highly Effective" designation under Colorado’s Educator Effectiveness Evaluation System. In addition, Elena has been a Writer and Editor for Write Hand Ma’am since January 1999, focusing on copyediting, proofreading, and content development for various clients. Previously, Elena served as a Backcountry Ranger at Rocky Mountain National Park from 1997 to 2007, where responsibilities included monitoring trails and campsites and contributing to the Wilderness Management Plan. Elena holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Gettysburg College.
