Carla Amurao has over 10 years of work experience. Carla began their career in 2010 as a Publishing Assistant for Federal Buyers Guide Inc., followed by a Web Content Associate Producer role at Public Broadcasting Service in 2011. In 2012, Carla took on the role of Production Coordinator at On the Strip Media. In 2013, they worked as a Marketing & Operations Manager/Group Fitness Instructor for Pop Physique, LLC, where they developed marketing media/sales strategies, promotional newsletters, and implemented social media campaigns and content production. In 2014, Carla became a Fitness Concierge/Community Support at fitmob (acquired). In 2015, they took on the role of Content Marketer/Customer Experience Coordinator at Sportique, where they created, curated, and coordinated content production to enhance customer experience and brand exposure through social media and email marketing. In 2017, Carla moved on to Rabbit, Inc. as a Marketing Manager, Content & Product. In 2018, they became a CRM Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager at TRX Training. In 2021, Carla began working as a CRM Marketing Manager at FAM Brands. Carla is currently employed as a Customer Lifecycle Marketing Manager at Boundless Immigration since 2022.

Carla Amurao obtained a BA in Film & Media Studies and Linguistics (Socio-cultural Emphasis) from UC Santa Barbara. In May 2015, they also earned a Certified Spinning Instructor certification from Mad Dogg Athletics.
