Aaron Decker

Aaron Decker has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Aaron is currently the Head of Engineering at Bounty, where they lead and manages the development of the Bounty platform and network. Their previous roles include being a Software Engineer Contractor at NanoDolphin Labs LLC, where they maintained Shopify applications for long-term existing clients and worked on Node / React full-stack contract work. Aaron also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Dharma, where they converted the existing code base to use the Typescript compiler and contributed to the Polygon rollout. Prior to that, they were a Lead Full Stack Engineer Contractor at PwC, where they built a UI and API for a machine learning-powered financial crime research system. Other notable roles include being a Full Stack Engineer Contractor at Medtronic, a Lead Backend Engineer (remote contractor) at PwC, a Senior Software Engineer at Target, an Adjunct Instructor at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, and a Senior Software Developer at Callibrity Solutions, LLC. Aaron also worked as an Applications Developer at Great American Insurance, where they maintained a policy admin system and worked on a rules-based next-generation policy admin system. Throughout their career, Aaron has gained expertise in various technologies such as Typescript, GraphQL, Apollo, React, Node.js, Java, Groovy, MongoDB, and more.

Aaron Decker attended the University of Cincinnati from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry. In 2013, they enrolled at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and completed their studies in 2014, receiving an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Programming and Database Management. In addition to their formal education, Aaron obtained a certification in FAA Part 107 - Commercial Small Unmanned Aircraft from the Federal Aviation Administration in October 2017.
