Juan Velandia Atla

Juan Velandia Atla has extensive work experience in the offshore industry, particularly in the role of Chief Engineer DP. Juan worked for Bourbon Offshore Norway from 2007 to the present, where they served as the DP Chief Engineer Unlimited. Prior to this, they worked for Bourbon from 2004 to 2013, holding the position of Chief Engineer DP. At Bourbon, their responsibilities included managing the operation and maintenance of main machinery, generators, propulsion/DP systems, and other auxiliary equipment on board FPSO DP Clase II "Bourbon Opale". From 1999 to 2004, Juan worked for Protexa Group as the First Engineer DP, overseeing the operation and maintenance of main machinery, generators, propulsion/DP systems, and auxiliary equipment on board the FPSO D.P.I "Cora".

Juan Velandia Atla's education history includes completing a Dynamic Positioning K-Pos Maintenance Course at Kongsberg Maritime Training Centre in Aberdeen, UK, in 2013. In the same year, they also completed a K-CHIEF Automation System course at the same training center. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2008, Juan earned a Bachelor of Marine Engineering (BEng) degree from Escuela Nautica de Veracruz, with a field of study focused on Marine Engineering.
