Caleb Thompson

Chief Engineer at Harvey Gulf International Marine

Caleb Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Caleb started their career in the US Navy in 1995, serving as GSE2 (SW) and performing various roles such as work center supervisor, Eng. Dept. supply petty officer, and ETT drill initiator. Following their service in the Navy, Caleb worked as Chief Engineer at Edison Chouest Offshore from 2008 to 2015, where they managed the engine room crew and ensured maintenance and upkeep in compliance with company standards. Caleb then joined NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration in 2015 as 1st Assistant Engineer, responsible for managing the engine room crew, creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and ensuring compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations. Caleb also gained experience at Trinity Ship Management Llc / SNLC as Assistant Engineer in 2016 and at Hornbeck Offshore as Assistant Engineer from 2017 to 2018. Currently, Caleb is working at Harvey Gulf International Marine as Relief Engineer since 2018 and later acquired the position of Chief Engineer in 2019.

Caleb Thompson attended Show Low High School from 1991 to 1995, where they completed their education and obtained a general diploma in the field of study of General. In addition to their high school education, Caleb also has two additional certifications. Caleb obtained a Medical Certificate from the U.S. Coast Guard in May 2021 and an MMC (Merchant Mariner Credential) from the U.S. Coast Guard in March 2021.
