Phil Flegel

Phil graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a BA in Education and earned his Master of Arts – Integrated Studies at Athabasca University. He has taught at SAIT and Mount Royal University.

Phil has had a life-long interest in international education, which was both the focus of his master’s thesis as well as his ongoing curriculum development. Phil has worked and travelled extensively overseas and continues to explore the globe on his time off.

Phil belongs to two professional design organizations, the Graphic Designers of Canada and the Society for News Design, attending the international symposiums recognizing excellence in media and news design. Phil also works as a digital artist, designing work and art for private clients.

Phil has a passion for the outdoors and spends his weekends hiking and walking in Fish Creek, Kananaskis, and Elbow Valley Parks areas.
