Bobak Kiani

Bobak Kiani currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Bowdoin College, a position held since July 2025. Prior to this role, Bobak was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Harvard University from July 2023 to September 2025 and completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Bobak was also a PhD Candidate from August 2018 to July 2023. Previous professional experience includes consulting roles at The Boston Consulting Group from July 2015 to July 2018, including a summer associate role in June to August 2014, and as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins University from September 2011 to December 2014. Additional internships include experience at Project Risk Analytics and a full-time summer research assistantship at the University of Pennsylvania. Bobak holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
