Desiree Jones

Desiree (Desi) Jones is a dedicated researcher and academic currently serving as a President's Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Maryland since August 2023. With a comprehensive background in psychological sciences, Desiree completed a PhD at The University of Texas at Dallas in August 2023, focusing on the intersection of identity, stigma, and disability among autistic individuals. Previous experience includes roles as a Doctoral Student and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas, a Social/Clinical Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and various internships in operations and research support. Desiree's educational background includes a BA in Neuroscience & Psychology from Wellesley College and an MS in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Dallas.
