Sharad Shankar

Sharad Shankar is a seasoned professional in hardware engineering with extensive experience in Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and embedded systems. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Hardware Engineering at Bowery Farming since January 2023, Sharad previously held the position of Lead Hardware Engineer at Enertiv from January 2015 to December 2022, where responsibilities included successful IoT sensor integrations and the deployment of custom Linux-based edge computing solutions. Earlier roles included consulting in hardware design for various organizations such as Skye Health, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Hammerhead Navigation, focusing on medical devices and innovative technology solutions. Sharad also has experience as an Electrical Engineer with H&A Architects & Engineers, contributing to significant U.S. Embassy projects and systems design. Sharad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University.
