Robyn Gundy has a diverse and extensive work experience. Robyn began their career as a Corporate Analyst at The Freedonia Group, where they researched and wrote profiles of companies for market research reports. Robyn was later promoted to an Industry Analyst, responsible for creating comprehensive industry research reports. During their time at Freedonia, they conducted in-depth analysis of economic and market variables, governmental regulations, and competitive strategies.
Robyn then worked as a Research Consultant for the NYC Department of Homeless Services and the NYC Department of Corrections. Robyn managed a research team and conducted statistical analysis and stakeholder interviews to develop recommendations for preventing homelessness among individuals involved in the shelter and criminal justice systems.
Following this, Robyn served as a Research Assistant at New York University's Wagner School. Robyn worked on a process evaluation of the WeCARE program, conducting background research, facilitating interviews, and authoring a report that shaped the program's practices.
Robyn's most recent role was at the Bowery Residents' Committee (BRC), where they held multiple positions. Robyn started as the Director of Research and Evaluation, overseeing the development of a performance management system for all of BRC's programs. Their work in this role established BRC as a leader in nonprofit performance management.
Robyn was subsequently promoted to Vice President for Program Development and Evaluation at BRC. In this position, they strategically developed new programs, coordinated program operations, and oversaw performance management efforts. Robyn also took on additional responsibilities such as project management, grant writing, and budget development and management. Under their leadership, BRC experienced significant growth in revenue and housing capacity, becoming the largest provider of homeless outreach services in New York City. The agency received recognition through awards and was featured in publications for its innovative practices.

Robyn Gundy obtained their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Robyn completed this degree in 2006. Prior to that, Robyn earned their Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Oberlin College in 1999.
