Fred Ngan is the CEO and co-founder of Bowtie Life Insurance, a Hong Kong based insurtech company. Prior to Bowtie, Fred was a co-founder of Seasonalife, a web-based b2b platform for insurance advisors. Seasonalife was backed by Cyberport and HK X-Tech, and won the ICT best Fintech award. Before that, Fred was a co-founder of Coherent, a global insurtech 100 company that raised USD $89m. Prior to their entrepreneurial pursuits, Fred worked as a consulting actuary at EY, where they led the strategic asset allocation initiative and advised client executives in asset management and insurance on risk, capital and investment. Fred has also worked as a strategy consultant intern at Oliver Wyman, and as an actuarial intern at Manulife.

Fred Ngan has a type BMath from the University of Waterloo in the field of actuarial science, statistics, finance. Fred also has certification from IFTA (Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia) as a Fellow of Financial Technologist and certification from Society of Actuaries as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Additionally, they have certification from American Academy of Actuaries as a Member of American Academy of Actuaries.
