Alexander Z. is a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer with extensive experience in search infrastructure and machine learning. Currently at Box, Alexander is focused on building agent-based applications and integrating agent communication protocols. Previous roles include Senior Search Relevance Engineer at Mercari, Inc., where improvements in search recall and relevance were achieved through advanced machine learning techniques. Alexander has a strong background from prior positions at ThoughtWorks, Google, and The New York Times, encompassing software engineering, project management, and CI/CD processes. A founding member of the Machine Learning Infrastructure team at Box, Alexander successfully managed various stages of the machine learning lifecycle.
