Ron Hopper

Ron Hopper is the Chief Scientist & Co-Founder at BoxCast. Prior to BoxCast, Ron was a Web Architect at RR Donnelley from February 2004 to July 2013. At RR Donnelley, Ron spearheaded the design, implementation, testing, and launch of a massive investment plan management system which was praised for its usability and attention to detail. This included integration with APIs of financial clients, data providers, translation companies and corporate print providers, detailed wizards for users to manage all aspects of a company's retirment plan, capturing and implementation of complex financial rules and IRS limitations, printed book creation customized to the level of changing individual sentences and phrases based on plan details, and final customized print output in multiple languages. Ron also built multiple complete financial applications for generating customized enrollment books based around data pulled from clients' retirment plan management systems, and designed and launched a complete personalized print order management system which allowed customers to place orders online and provide census data for personalized print. This included management of custom-designed Variable PostScript (VPS) print templates, the generation of personalized VPS print output based on uploaded data, catalog and item management, look-and-feel customization per customer, order fulfillment and process management, and customer communications. Lastly, Ron created numerous small applications for automating internal processes, collaborating securely with clients, performing extract/transform/load (ETL) data operations, and ensuring process integrity and tracking personalized print pieces.

Ron Hopper has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science with a Machine Learning concentration from Georgia Institute of Technology, a BSE in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and a BA in Theatre Arts with an Acting Concentration from Case Western Reserve University. Ron is also certified by (ISC)² as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Their manager is Gordon Daily, CEO & Co-Founder. They are on a team with Kyle Nickel - Direct Sales Manager, Justin Hartman - CTO & Co-Founder, and Sam Brenner - COO.
