Katy started their freelance QA career at Zoonou Limited in 2012, where they provided QA analysis for a brief period. Katy then moved on to AnalogFolk in 2013, where they conducted investigation testing and user testing for an existing project and provided QA assistance on a new website build. Katy continued their freelance QA career at Tribal Worldwide in 2014, where they provided manual QA support for numerous client builds, focusing on web and mobile-based applications.
From 2015 onwards, Katy joined The BIO Agency, starting as a freelance QA analyst and later becoming a senior QA analyst and a lead QA analyst. During their time at the BIO Agency, they provided manual QA support for various projects, including Haven Holidays, an estate agent re-brand project, and high-profile projects for Hachette Publishing, Chep, and Bicester Village. Katy was responsible for defining QA approach and process, managing QA effort and execution, and providing work-based estimates for QA.
Most recently, Katy worked at BOXT starting in 2019 as a freelance QA engineer. In this role, they provided manual QA support across all development teams, working on projects related to the maintenance and improvement of the customer-facing website, BOXT installer mobile application, and the bespoke BOXT admin CMS. Katy Blay began their education journey in 2000, attending Basingstoke College of Technology. Katy pursued a degree in IT and completed their studies in 2003. Afterward, from 2005 to 2007, Katy enrolled in Capgemini / Zenos, where they focused on Software Development and obtained an NVQ Level 3 degree in the field.
