Jack Brooks

Jack Brooks has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Jack is currently the Head of BOXX Hackbusters and vCISO at BOXX Insurance Inc. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC), where they were responsible for back office operations and technology innovation. Highlights of their achievements include launching a program to assist new entrants to the profession, advocating for greater attention to cyber risk in the industry, and implementing new risk management protocols. Before that, Jack held the position of Senior Director, Program Delivery at Jolera Inc., where they created and led a team providing business and technology guidance to customers. Jack also served as the Director of Information Technology and CIO at IIBA, where they reorganized the technology team and significantly improved project delivery and IT operations. Other positions Jack has held include Manager, Planning and Risk Management at the Town of Richmond Hill, Chief Technology Officer at Junior Achievement of Canada, Sr. Director, Business Relationship Management at Holcim, and Sr. Director, Projects and Innovation at iSTARK. Jack has demonstrated expertise in managing relationships between IT and business units, as well as delivering projects and driving innovation. Prior to these roles, Jack worked as the Director of Global IP Operations at Genesys Conferencing and Sr. Technical Account Manager at 724 Solutions, where they managed key account projects and hosted the WAP solution for large financial institutions.

Jack Brooks attended the University of Waterloo from 1988 to 1992, where they completed a Bachelor of Mathematics (BMATH) degree with a focus on Mathematics, Computer Science, and Business Administration. In 2008, they obtained a certification in Project Management from the Project Management Leadership Group. In the same year, they also attended a Management and Leadership Seminar on Holcim Management and Leadership at the University of St.Gallen. Additionally, Jack Brooks holds a certification in ITIL, but the institution, month, and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
