James Degnan

James Degnan serves as the Director of Environmental Services for the Township of Hampton since April 2008, managing a team of 11 employees and overseeing a 3.2 MGD treatment facility along with over 140 miles of pipeline. In addition, James has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America Greater Pittsburgh Council since August 2009, serving as a former Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 329 and currently as a Committee Member for Boy Scout Troop 329. Prior experience includes the role of Laboratory Director and Pretreatment Coordinator for the McKeesport Municipal Authority from January 2002 to April 2008, where responsibilities included managing laboratory activities and the pretreatment program, along with handling all computer-related issues. James holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Westminster College in Pennsylvania, earned between 1995 and 1999, and received a High School Diploma from Girard High School in 1995.
