Project Coordinator Of Plantgene at Boyce Thompson Institute

Aimee A. Malzahn, PhD, currently serves as the Project Coordinator of PlantGENE at Boyce Thompson Institute since December 2022. Aimee's previous roles include being a Global STEWARDS Fellow with the UMD NSF Traineeship program from January 2021 to December 2022, focused on the sustainability of food, energy, and water systems, and a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Maryland from January 2017 to December 2022. Prior to that, Aimee was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at East Carolina University from August 2015 to December 2016, where Aimee taught Introduction to Biology labs while implementing inclusive teaching practices. Aimee's academic journey includes a PhD in Plant Sciences from the University of Maryland, a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Arcadia University, supplemented with educational experiences at The University of Auckland and City, University of London.
