Emrah Özbay

Emrah Özbay, PhD has a diverse work experience in various positions. Emrah has served as a Board Member for Global Compact Türkiye since July 2019. Prior to that, they held the role of Director of Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Sustainability at Boyner Grup starting from January 2019. From April 2016 to December 2018, they worked as the Budget & Reporting Manager at Boyner Buyuk Magazacilik A.S.

Emrah also has extensive experience at Boyner Grup, where they worked in multiple roles. Emrah served as the Enterprise Risk Manager from April 2014 to March 2016, and as an Audit Manager from April 2013 to April 2014.

Before their tenure at Boyner Grup, Emrah worked at SPK – Capital Markets Board of Turkey. With them, they served as an Expert in the Department of Institutional Investors from June 2011 to April 2013, and as an Inspector in the Enforcement Department from December 2001 to June 2011.

Emrah Özbay, PhD, holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Financial Analysis and Fund Management from the University of Exeter (2008-2009). Emrah then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance from Istanbul University (2010-2016). Prior to this, Emrah obtained an MSc degree in Economics from Istanbul Technical University (2004-2007) and an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Işık Üniversitesi (2003-2004). Emrah'sundergraduate degree in Business Administration was completed at Ankara University (1995-2000). Emrah is also a CFA Level III Candidate, as per the CFA Institute, though the years of study are not specified.
