Jake Schmetterer has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Jake'smost recent role was as the Director of Data Analytics & Database Management at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, where they advised leadership on strategies to enhance program metric attainment. Prior to that, they worked as a Database Manager and Data Analyst, evaluating program outcomes and organization-wide datasets. Jake also served as a Database Quality Coordinator at Urban Peak, providing training and coaching on data collection and data quality processes. At Paragon 28, they held roles as an Asset Management Specialist and a Data Integrity Specialist, creating and managing territory-based dashboards and maintaining ERP/CRM databases. Before that, they worked as a Geospatial Analyst at Uber, improving driver and rider experiences by analyzing and editing map databases. Jake also has experience in outdoor conservation work as a Trail Crew Member at Rocky Mountain Youth Corps and as a Corps Member in AmeriCorps NCCC. Jake served as a Teaching Assistant for an Introductory Geology Lab Course at Colorado State University, leading lab sessions and field trips, and worked as a Market Researcher at Crawford Laboratories, conducting market research and developing a database of contract information.
Jake Schmetterer attended Colorado State University from 2010 to 2014, where they pursued a degree in Geology with a focus on Environmental Geology. In 2012, they also briefly studied Geology at the University of Leicester. In addition to their academic education, Jake obtained certification as a Firefighter Type 2 Red Card for Wildland Firefighting from the CROWN KING FIRE DEPARTMENT in July 2015.
