A.J. Collier is an experienced professional with a diverse background in various roles and organizations. They started their career in 1997 at Northwest Community Hospital as an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. From there, they worked as an Assistant Manager at Schaumburg Park District and later as a Fitness Coordinator at Mt. Prospect Park District. In 2002, they became the Health and Fitness Manager at Bartlett Park District, where they stayed until 2013 and assumed the position of Superintendent of Recreation at Elk Grove Park District. A.J. Collier gained experience as the Head Coach of Judson University Men's Lacrosse from 2009 to 2015. In 2013, they also became the General Manager and Coach of the Chicago Outlaws Lacrosse Club. They briefly worked as the Director of Operations at The Salvation Army from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Safety Analyst at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, starting in 2021. A.J. Collier also served as the Commissioner of the Box Lacrosse League since 2015.
A.J. Collier, CPRP, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University from 1992 to 1995. The major field of study for the degree was Exercise Physiology, with a minor in Sports Medicine. In 2010, A.J. Collier obtained the certification of Certified Parks & Recreation Professional from the National Recreation & Parks Association.
