Akshaya Garimalla

Akshaya Garimalla's work experience begins with their current position as the Director of Account Relationships at Boys & Girls Clubs of America since November 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Associate Director of Development - Mid Level Giving at CARE from June 2021 to November 2022. Before that, they served as the Development Coordinator and Development Associate at Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation from April 2018 to May 2021. Akshaya also gained experience as a Convention Guide at Walt Disney World in January and February 2018. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Paraprofessional at Records and Registration and as a Peer Administrator/Student Worker at Ottenheimer Library at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from August 2016 to May 2017. Additionally, they held leadership roles as President and Co-Founder of A.W.A.R.E. (Advocating for the Wellbeing And Respect of Everyone) from August 2015 to May 2017. Akshaya also volunteered at Planned Parenthood of the Heartland from August 2014 to October 2016. Akshaya gained further experience through an internship at Just Communities of Arkansas from January to May 2016 and as a Service Learner at Lucie's Place Inc from January to May 2016. Akshaya also interned and volunteered at Heifer International from June 2015 to May 2016.

Akshaya Garimalla attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 2012 to 2017. Akshaya obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in International/Global Studies.
