Elaina Ouimet has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Elaina began their career in 2002 as an Assistant Editor at The Mirror Project, where they assisted with grant proposals, press releases, and conducted presentations on social documentaries. From 2002 to 2003, they served as a Program Coordinator at YWCA Boston Youth Voice Collaborative, where they educated teens about media's impact on gender and race and facilitated media literacy workshops.
In 2004, Elaina joined Boys & Girls Clubs of America as an Assistant Director, Teen Services, where they worked with the Corporation for National and Community Service to ensure compliance with grant guidelines. Elaina then became the Director of Teen Services, providing technical training and assistance to youth development professionals across the United States and overseas military installations. From 2011 to 2012, they served as the Director of Family Strengthening, managing grant-making processes and disseminating the Family PLUS strategy.
Elaina's roles at Boys & Girls Clubs of America continued to expand, and they held positions such as Director of Educational Foundations and Academic Innovations, Senior Director of STEM & Educational Foundations, and Senior Director of Youth Development Communications and Knowledge Management. In their current role as National Director of Safety Operations and Child Safety & Quality Assurance, they oversee safety operations at a national level.
Throughout their career, Elaina has demonstrated skills in project management, program development, partnership building, and grant management. Elaina'swork focuses on youth development, safety operations, and communication in various settings.
Elaina Ouimet received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology from Boston College in 1998. In addition, they have obtained two additional certifications: Adult Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Well in May 2022 and Certified Youth Works Methods Trainer from the David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality in May 2018.
