Shaye McCauley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the David Mathews Center for Civic Life. In 2015, they served as a Research and Policy Analyst at NAMI and later transitioned to a role as a Child Development Specialist at Pavilion Agency. At Pavilion Agency, they developed and directed educational programs to stimulate the emotional, intellectual, and social growth of students.
In 2017, Shaye worked as an Operations Coordinator at National Geographic Encounter, where they played a vital role in developing an optimal entertainment experience for visitors. They also supervised new recruit training and developed organizational strategies for a distinct student and educator experience.
In 2018, Shaye became a Child Development Teacher at Saint Luke's Community House and utilized play-based lessons to support a developmentally appropriate environment for children. The following year, they worked as an English Teacher and Coach at Great AuPair International.
Most recently, Shaye's work experience includes serving as the Education Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. In this role, they oversaw the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs. They also played a crucial part in the rollout of a virtual learning support program during the 2020-2021 school year, ensuring continued support for over 4,700 youth in the Nashville area.
Shaye McCauley obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Auburn University, where they attended from 2011 to 2015.
