Julia Meier

Julia Meier has a diverse range of work experience. Julia began their career as a Peace Corps Volunteer, working as a Teacher Collaborator in primary schools and leading community outreach projects. Julia then gained experience as a Program Development Intern at Global Nomads Group, where they created and implemented curriculum focused on global issues for grades 7th-12th. Julia also served as an Interim Project Officer at the Human Rights Advocacy Centre before joining Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as a Field Human Resources Intern.

After these roles, Julia transitioned to the education sector, working as a Housing Director at EF Education First and an Academic Advisor at the Academy of Art University. In these positions, they managed student residences, worked with international students, and provided academic guidance to undergraduate students.

Most recently, Julia has been employed at the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. Julia started as an Education Director, overseeing educational programs and establishing partnerships with schools. Julia then became an Education Liaison, responsible for overseeing distance learning pods and collaborating with schools. Currently, Julia holds the role of Assistant Clubhouse Director, where they are second in charge and provides leadership, decision making, and support for behavior management.

Throughout their career, Julia has demonstrated a strong commitment to education, youth development, and international work.

Julia Meier began their education at the University of Northern Colorado in 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Elementary Education and Teaching. Julia graduated from this program in 2009. Following this, they enrolled at New York University in 2013 and completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) in International and Comparative Education in 2014.
