Luis R. Frias II

Luis R. Frias II is the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) where he is charged with the development and oversight of the Agency’s equity and diversity priorities. In this capacity, he works to establish collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and foster a more diverse, inclusive, equitable, welcoming, and supportive agency. He works to create more opportunities for community empowerment, as well as diversify and grow the talent of underrepresented planners and developers. Prior to joining the BPDA, Luis worked in diversity programs in higher education for a decade. He most recently served as the Program Manager for the Engineering PLUS Alliance at Northeastern University. Luis also served as the Associate Director for Diversity Programs for Northeastern’s College of Engineering, where he focused on both College and University level DEI initiatives.
