Shyama Madhavan has a diverse work experience in the media and marketing industry. Shyama began their career as a Media Planner at Lodestar, FCB Ulka in Mumbai in 1999. Shyama then joined The Media Edge, Rediffusion as a Senior Planner, where they were involved in the Tata Tea planning team.
In 2003, they worked at Interactions, Lintas Media Group as a Media Group Head, and later joined Lintas Media Group as a Business Director. In this role, they managed various accounts including Bajaj Auto Ltd, Ginger (Taj Group of Hotels), Tata Mutual Fund, Camlin, and Nirlep. Shyama then became a Media Director, responsible for the ITC Foods account in Bangalore.
Madhavan's next role was as a Senior Manager of Marketing Services at Jyothy Laboratories Ltd., where they led the marketing services team and worked on popular brands such as Ujala, Stiff & Shine, Exo, Maxo, and the laundry business.
In 2010, they joined Percept Media as a General Manager before moving on to Salaam Bombay Foundation in 2011 as a Media Consultant. Here, they played a crucial role in launching a tobacco control program called Life Se Panga in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and WHO.
Their most recent position was as the VP - Business Head at BPN Worldwide, where they currently work. Overall, Madhavan has gained extensive experience in various aspects of media, marketing, and consultancy throughout their career.
Shyama Madhavan pursued their education at PSG College of Technology from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained their M.A degree in Mass Communication. After that, there is no available information about any further education they may have pursued. However, it is known that they attended Jyothi Nivas at some point, although the dates, degree, and field of study are unknown.
