Syed Mahfuzul Aziz

Syed Mahfuzul Aziz serves as Pro Vice Chancellor and Acting Vice Chancellor at BRAC University since February 2023. Since August 1999, Syed has been a Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of South Australia, leading research projects funded by industry and government, particularly in sensing, real-time processing, and IoT technologies across various sectors. Syed held previous roles as Associate Professor and Program Director in Computer Systems Engineering, contributing to curriculum design and research in Electrical, Electronic, and Computer Engineering. Additionally, Syed has been a Visiting Professor at Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse and a Visiting Scholar at The University of Texas at Austin. Earlier academic positions include Professor at Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology and Commonwealth Academic Staff Scholar at the University of Kent. Syed holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Kent and has multiple degrees from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
