Shifur Rahman Shakil

Shifur Rahman Shakil is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at Florida State University since August 2024. With extensive experience at BRAC since August 2016, Shifur has advanced from Deputy Manager to Senior Manager in Technology for Development and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning, successfully leading digital transformation initiatives that improved operational efficiency by 40% and developed AI models for disaster detection in Dhaka. Prior roles include working as a Technical Consultant at Ecorys, a Research Associate at BRAC University, a Consultant for Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh, and a Data Analyst at ME SOLshare Ltd. Shifur holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Science from Florida State University (expected 2029), a Master of Science in Data Analytics from Queen Mary University of London, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BRAC University.
